i've lived just to break you down
to demolish the bricks surrounding your words
and your sentences
and your pretty mouth.

i once thought i wanted to love you
but realized that i just wanted to break things,
make shiny pieces of glass fly across the room
and make you cry.

i remember your body on top of mine,
i remember suffering beneath you.
i remember your green eyes the way i remember mining for diamonds between silver silk sheets.

and your scars are fading now
but i can still see them, because mine aren't.
i tried to smash you up, but i couldn't smash up your beautiful face.
and i could reminisce how it was all so pointless it was in the end

but i'd rather not,
i'd rather not right now.

wow. really powerful emotions & images. i really liked "i've lived just to break you down / to demolish the bricks surrounding your words". the last line of the third stanza was interesting too, but it seems a bit long... maybe put a line break in there?
:icondarkestgirl:
yeah, i've been thinking about putting a line break in there. i hate editing though haha. *deep breath* but i must start editing..someday ;D
